UFFE RAVNSKOV,
MD, PhD, has published more than 50 critical papers and letters
about the alleged association between cholesterol and cardiovascular
disease. In 1999, he received the Skrabanek Award given by Trinity
College of Dublin, Ireland for original contributions in the field
of medical skepticism. He is the author of The Cholesterol
Myths, published in Sweden, Finland, Germany, and the US. |

PAUL ROSCH,
MD is a Clinical Professor of Medicine and Psychiatry at New York
Medical College and President of The American Institute of Stress.
He has been involved in stress research for over 50 years. He
has written extensively about the adverse effects of stress on
the cardiovascular system and the noncontributory role of dietary
fat and elevated cholesterol to coronary heart disease. |

KILMER MCCULLY,
MD, PhD has received worldwide recognition for introducing the
concept of elevated blood homocysteine as a risk factor for vascular
disease. He is the author of The Heart Revolution and
has pioneered the use of B vitamins for prevention and treatment
of vascular disease. He has received numerous awards for his work
on homocysteine, is widely published and is a frequent speaker
to the medical community. |

MARY G. ENIG,
PhD, an expert of world renown in the field of lipid chemistry,
has brought scientific and media attention to the adverse health
effects of trans fatty acids found in partially hydrogenated vegetable
oils. She is a licensed nutritionist, vice-president of the Weston
A. Price Foundation, fellow of the American College of Nutrition
and president of the Maryland Nutritionists Association. She is

MA, is a licensed psychotherapist, author of The Mood Cure,
and also of the best-seller, The Diet Cure, chosen by
Amazon.com for its Tremendous Ten list of 1999. Currently Executive
Director of Recovery Systems Clinic in Mill Valley, California,
Ross has founded and directed six outpatient addiction and eating
disorder treatment programs in the San Francisco Bay area. |

CHARLES EISENSTEIN
is an author, yogi, college teacher and the father of two. His
background includes ten years as a Chinese translator in Taiwan
where he came into contact with Qigong, yoga and other Eastern
practices. His book The Yoga of Eating will appear this
year. Charles will also be providing home-brew lacto-fermented
soft drinks at the conference.

TED SPENCE,
DDS, ND has practiced general dentistry for 25 years in Virginia.
He is a master herbalist, clinical nutritionist and board certified
naturopath. He is a member of the American Academy of Biological
Dentists, International Academy of Oral Medicine and Toxicology
and the American Naturopathic Medical Association. He serves on
the editorial board of Naturopathic Medicine. |

CN, studied nutrition at the University of Vermont and has been
practicing nutrition since 1968. The Nancy Drew of Nutrition,"

In practice for 11 years, he is a frequent lecturer on oriental

the secretary of the Oriental Medicine Association of New Mexico
and was a board examiner for three years. He is currently in practice

ND is a licensed naturopathic physician practicing in Connecticut
for over 20 years and consulting with people all over the country

& Physical Degeneration by Dr. Weston A. Price. Her experience
in applying Dr. Price's findings to the feeding of her own family,
and her work with Dr. Mary Enig, led her to write Nourishing

PETER H. LANGSJOEN,
MD, FACC has been practicing cardiology since 1985. After five
years of invasive cardiology at the University of Texas Health
Center at Tyler, he set up a private cardiology practice in Tyler
and for the past 13 years has worked exclusively as a non-invasive
cardiologist, specializing in congestive heart failure, primary
and statin-induced diastolic dysfunction and other diseases of
the heart muscle. Dr. Langsjoen has been involved with the clinical
application of CoQ10 to the treatment of a broad range of cardiovascular
diseases since 1981.
DUANE GRAVELINE,
MD, MPH, is a former USAF flight surgeon and research scientist,
NSAS scientist astronaut (1965) and retired family doctor, known
primarily for his work in prolonged weightlessness deconditioning
and countermeasure development. The lower body negative pressure
device, used on Mir, Skylab and the ISS for assessment of cardiovascular
deconditioning while in space, is his invention. His book Lipitor,
Thief of Memory, which describes Dr. Graveline's experience of
total amnesia while taking the cholesterol-lowering medication

LESLIE M. KLEVAY,
MD, SM, SD, is the Research Medical Officer at the USDA Human
Nutrition Research Center in Grand Forks, North Dakota and Adjunct
Associate Professor of Internal Medicine at the University of
North Dakota. He has received numerous awards and honors, including
the Klaus Schwarz Commemorative Medal of the International Association
of Bioinorganic Scientists, for his work in nutrition and disease.
