Ella Mae was born to Dustin and Caroline on July 23, weighing in at over nine pounds. She was able to lift her head from day one. She gained four pounds a month for the first three months, exclusively breastfeeding. Her pediatrician called her mom the “Dairy Queen” and said this was unheard of in the 23 years she had been practicing. She has been a very peaceful and happy baby right from the beginning and has never cried during the night! Both parents followed the WAPF dietary principles for several years before her conception. Mom ate (and still eats) tons of farm eggs, raw milk and cod liver oil. Thank you WAPF for this beautiful baby!
Marianne followed WAPF dietary principles for several years before giving birth to a beautiful boy. Even his conception, which was actually unanticipated, took place whilst Mom was vacationing in France where she stuffed herself silly with butter and poultry livers galore!
Proud grandmother Jennifer reports that her daughter drank raw milk and took cod liver oil every day during her pregnancy. The result is beautiful Jessica Marie, pictured here at two months.

A smiling Jonathan, now seven months old, poses with his big sister, Jenna, age three and one-half. Their mom, Norway, Maine chapter leader Donna, has followed a WAPF diet since 1999. Jonathan is 100 percent breastfed, but has also been getting cod liver oil and egg yolks since five months old. He loves trying new foods—the fermented sweet potato is one of his favorites. Both kids are bright, energetic, and have attractive broad faces (note the space between Jenna’s teeth; she has plenty of room for her adult teeth to come in!). Says mom: “There are no words I can express to thank the Foundation for my two beautiful children.”
Jetta at two and one-half years old with her brother Pilot at one month, the happy family of Priscilla and John. While pregnant with Pilot mom took cod liver oil and high vitamin butter oil daily along with raw milk and yogurt, raw butter and cheese, lots of eggs from pastured chickens and coconut oil. Fully breastfed Pilot is calm, happy and alert. He gained almost a pound during his first week. He also could lift his head at birth. Says Priscilla: “Thanks to the WAPF we have a healthy and happy family.”
Kevin Patrick was given a healthy start in life thanks to his mom’s diet of raw milk, butter, cod liver oil, eggs, grass-fed meats, fermented vegetables and soaked grains for nine months or pregnancy, Born full-term at over nine pounds (over two pounds more than either of his siblings’ birth weights!), Kevin is a contented infant, very alert at only two days old. He will be raised on raw milk and healthy foods with his siblings.
Betsy followed the wise traditional diet while pregnant and has been blessed with Abigail Joy, a beautiful, strong, alert, and very healthy baby girl who is now four months old. Mom is planning to breastfeed for about two years.
Proud Grandma Joyce sends this update on WAPF mom Jenny and her two children, Summer Amanda, born October 2004 and Skyler David, born August 2006. They, along with daddy Darren are healthy examples of nutrient-dense eating.

Aiden Thomas is reaping the benefits of mom’s healthy breastmilk. Jordan, fourth child of Ben and Rachael, was born at nine pounds, more than a pound heavier than his older siblings. Pictured here with his older sister Erin, Jordan is a champion breastfeeder, holding his head up at four weeks old and sleeping seven to eight hours each night. His parents credit a nutrient-dense traditional diet, with special emphasis on plenty of raw milk, during pregnancy and lactation for Jordan’s good start in life.
Michaela “survived off raw milk” during a nauseous first few months of pregnancy, then stuck with a nutrientdense diet. Baby Elijah was able to pick his head up and gain eye contact immediately after birth. Now over four months, he enjoys his egg yolk and cod liver oil in addition to mom’s milk. Elijah has a calm disposition, is alert and is as round as can be. He consistently sleeps 10-12 hours per night.

Finley Todd, pictured at seven weeks old, completes the family for Rodney (age 51) and Donna (age 41), WAPF members. Donna didn’t rush into things, but spent three years in preparation for pregnancy by taking high vitamin cod liver oil and eating liberally of butter, eggs, raw milk and other nutrient-dense foods. Even working as a nurse around lots of sick people, Donna has not been ill for over two years and had a smooth pregnancy. Since birth, Finley has been strong and alert.
Weighing nine pounds at birth, Asher (pictured here with his sister Greta) is a delight to his parents. His mother, Dove, has noticed that her breastfeeding baby is most content when she has a positive attitude plus three square meals a day that include animal fat and protein, cultured vegetables and kefir, which keep her emotionally and physicially fit for her rapidly growing little boy.
Writes mom Simone: “Luckily I ate plenty of raw dairy, lacto-fermented foods and bone broths roughly eight months before I got pregnant. Within the first trimester I put on the badly needed ten pounds which I’ve yet to loose and don’t want to! I then went on to gain the normal 35 pounds during pregnancy. My baby was born at home, on time. My midwife, who’s attended hundreds of births, guessed his weight at six and a half pounds because he looked so tiny—only 17 inches long. But when she weighed him her scale said seven pounds four ounces! ‘My scale must be broken!’ she exclaimed. She went to her bag and dug out her brand new digital scale, unwrapping it from its casing. The new scale confirmed the first weighing! ‘That’s my nutrient dense baby for you,’ I cried out. I like to think he packed it in so he could get out of the birth canal without tearing me to pieces since I am small in stature. He immediately made up for it, growing to 24 inches by four months of age. From the get go he’s been active, rasing his head by day three. He has continued to be active, alert and full of personality. So thank you once again for helping me vastly improve, if not downright save, my life and for helping me with the blessing of having such a beautiful healthy baby!”
A robust nine-month-old Julian Charles, son of WAPF champion Nina, was born October 2006. Mom consumed lots of raw milk, butter, beef and wild salmon—the real food works—during pregnancy, of course, and these are now his first foods. He still nurses at 13 months old.
George Cullen was born at home weighing nine pounds three ounces. Mom, Elissa, began consuming raw milk early in her pregnancy while she learned how to cook and eat according to nourishing traditional principles. George is a great nurser, is alert, healthy and off the charts for weight—over 18 pounds at four months old on breast milk alone!

Happy, healthy, eight-month-old Lily has a very sunny disposition. Her mom drank raw milk and followed a WAPF diet as best as she could through pregnancy and while nursing. Lily surprised her doctor by going from 6 pounds 9 ounces at birth to 7 pounds 11 ounces in nine days, a time period in which most babies lose weight, thanks to the high quality of Mom’s breast milk. Lily now eats a little egg yolk, liver, beef stock and cod liver oil but mostly still nurses.
Keenan Matthew, the happy healthy baby of Jason and Julianne, weighed 20 pounds at six months! Due to Mom’s low milk supply, Keenan has been on the raw milk baby formula since he was four and a half weeks old. Mom followed the Weston A. Price pregnancy diet consuming liberal amounts of butter, eggs, animal protein and fat, and other nutrient-dense foods. When Keenan was born all the medical staff were absolutely amazed at how alert and strong he was!
Sophia Marie Lemaire pictured at four months, was over nine pounds at birth. Her mother followed a wise traditions diet, and naturally conceived at 42 years old. Alaina Nancy joined the family in September at home. Mom, Rachael (midwife) and family all attended her water birth. They enjoy their fresh raw milk every day from the family’s pet goats. They also enjoy their cod liver oil and fresh eggs. Mom makes lots of soups, boiling the bones for marrow broth, which the family loves. They also plant a large garden and freeze, can and ferment food for the winter. All kids enjoyed Mom’s breast milk the first year of life.

His mother, Tonya, reports that he is a friendly, healthy, happy baby and he has slept through the night since he was two months old. Mom didn’t take any vitamin supplements during the pregnancy, but instead ate lots of liver, good quality eggs, homemade sauerkraut and bone broths, grass-fed beef, raw dairy products including butter, milk, cream, and cheese (thanks to Organic Pastures dairy), and the occasional dinner of raw sushi with roe. Mason lives with his Mom and Dad and three older sisters in Monrovia, California.

Six-month-old Aria Violet was eight pounds nine ounces at birth, and began drinking raw milk-based homemade formula at five weeks. She has slept through the night since two months, is happy, healthy, enormously curious and mobile. Her family jokes that her diet is so vital it makes her hair stand straight up! She is now seven months and crawling and pulling herself up to stand. She babbles in every octave very purposefully, imitating her mom in intonations exactly. They play “call and response!” She eats egg yolks with salt and is trying out chicken made with bone broth and loves to suck on rare local-grown steak! Mostly, though, she still loves her formula!
Kayo Evelyn, came into the world with a beautiful, easy home birth on September 25th, 2008 weighing seven and one-half pounds. She is pictured here with Taiji, her very gentle and loving older brother. Kayo (pronounced kah-yoh) is a Japanese name meaning “fragrant world.”
