Cheeses and Meats and Eggs, Oh My!
A WAPF-style reception is happening on Wednesday, February 14, 2007. We will be hosting a reception for our legislators beginning at 12:00 noon and we need FOOD. The food we are looking for is hearty luncheon fare that would highlight locally produced, meats, cheeses and dairy. This is a standing reception so things that are easy to eat while standing are ideal. Please make sure to put your name on anything you want returned.
Unless you have questions, you do not need to let me know what food you are bringing, just show up with it. We can expect to feed between 400-500 legislators, aides, and grassroots lobbyists. We will have people outside of the building to get the food from you cars while you park.
The building is the Longworth House Office Building just South of the Capital on Independence Ave and South Capital Street. The main entrance is on Independence Ave. We are in room 1302. We will have people outside the main entrance to unload food while you park. The closest parking is at Union Station, which is about a 5-10 minute walk from the office building.
We also need about 40 volunteers to help out with the reception. Please contact me it you are interested in volunteering. The volunteering will not interfere with lobbying efforts.
Thanks so much for all those willing to help out!
