Elissa came to the Weston A. Price Foundation via the GAPS healing dietary protocol following several decades of declining health as a "nothing with a face" vegetarian. The Wise Traditions journal, her "gateway drug," led to a deeper understanding and zeal to share the benefits of a WAPF lifestyle with others. Realizing you don't have to be a practitioner or have a specific deep area of expertise to foster a community which supports and promotes traditional foodways and the healing arts, she has served as volunteer chapter co-leader for San Mateo County, CA since 2016.
